Before you can purchase from us you must have completed registration on our site. Please note that you must be over the age of 18 years old to register.
Once you have registered you are expected and required to keep your account details strictly confidential and you must not permit any third party to use or access your account on your behalf.
We can only sell alcohol products to those over the age of 18 (or the legal age within your own country of residence). By accessing our website, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and the minimum legal age for purchasing alcohol in your country of residence.
We reserve the right to ask first time buyers and customers collecting whisky for identification to prevent fraud and underage purchases.
All deliveries must be signed for by a person of legal drinking age in your country of residence, ID may be required.
Although we strive to ensure that you receive your item in perfect condition, due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer’s discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
Items offered for sale may contain damage in the form of tears, rips, stains, scratches, dents, rust and more on bottles and boxes. We attempt to highlight this damage within the lot description however if it is not mentioned, but clearly visible within the images displayed the buyer has been deemed to have seen this damage and has no claim or right to a refund.
Our delivery charges are set out (see shipping) in our website. Please note that we can not be liable to ship or deliver to all locations, if you have any queries please contact us to confirm we can deliver to your location.
We will deliver the goods to the address you specify for delivery in your order. It is important that this address is accurate. Please be precise about where you would like the goods left if you are out when we deliver.
We cannot accept any liability for any loss or damage to the goods once they have been delivered in accordance with your delivery instructions.
We will strive to deliver the goods within 7 days of accepting payment.
Once the goods have been delivered to you they will be held at your own risk and we will not be liable for their loss or destruction.
Please note whisky bottles in transit cannot be insured by the courier. By paying for bottles you accept that Whisky International has no responsibility or liability for breakages or leakages. We can offer insurance at a charge of 3% of the final price including shipping.
All bottles offered for sale are sold subject to UK alcohol tax. Your order could be subject to local sales taxes and duties upon arrival in the chosen delivery country and these could be levied at the time the package clears local customs. All addition taxes and charges are the responsibility of the receiver.
Please note that Whisky International can not be held responsible for any delays or seizures by customs or any other third-party, it is the customers duty to adhere to local custom, rules and laws for their own county.
Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 you have the legal right to cancel your order. We require a minimum 24 hours notice of cancellation. We reserve the right to charge an administration levy for any cancellations.
You have the right to terminate any Services Agreement for any reason, including the ending of auctions that are already underway. No refunds shall be offered, where an auction is deemed to have begun and is, for all intents and purposes, underway. Any monies that have been paid to us which constitute payment in respect of the provision of unused services shall be refunded.
If you have received the goods before you cancel your contract then you must send the goods back to our contact address at your own cost and risk. If you cancel your contract but we have already processed the goods for delivery, you should not unpack the goods when they are received by you and you must send the goods back to us at our contact address at your own cost and risk as soon as possible.
Customer Contract Regulations 2014 apply. Should an item not match the description or picture on our site, then the buyer has a 14-day cancellation period. Please contact as soon as possible after receiving the item and we will instruct you further
Once you have notified us that you are cancelling your contract, any sum debited by us from your credit or debit card will be re-credited to your account as soon as possible, and in any event within 30 days of cancellation.
